The Solana Beach Heritage Museum at La Colonia Park got an upgrade! The City's Public Works team made several key improvements to both preserve and enhance the facility, including:

  • Installation of new plywood sheathing
  • Replacement of the existing roof with a modern tile system designed to maintain the building's historic aesthetic
  • Replacement of all fascia boards around the building
  • Replacement of all wood components on the deck cover, including installation of new tiles
  • Painting of select portions of the building to improve overall appearance and protection
  • As an added enhancement, refurbishment of the adjacent shed to match the museum's aesthetics

The museum is open monthly in the first and third Saturdays from 1:00-4:00 PM, or by appointment. Visit the Solana Beach Civic and Historical Society website for more information.
