City Hall Gallery Opening Reception: "Sea, Sand, and Style"

The Solana Beach Public Arts Commission proudly presents Sea, Sand and Style, a collection of art from Uwe Werner, on view now through October.

Uwe is a realist, but not photo realist. His sea and landscapes portray the ocean's cyclic moods and powerful grace, reflecting his life long fascination with the natural world and his desire to depict its beauty. His love for the color and beauty of the desert is also represented in this exhibition. This exhibition shows a cross section, but not all of Uwe's subjects of interest. 

Artist Biography:

Born in Germany Uwe has lived in the USA since 1952. He is a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle with his degree in art. After returning from Viet Nam he settled in Coronado and established himself as a professional artist having made this his sole career. His work has been carried in numerous galleries and he has had many one man shows. He has also been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles including Southwest Art.

Opening Reception:

The community is invited to attend a special opening reception on Saturday, September 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at City Hall Gallery. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist, explore the exhibit, and enjoy light refreshments. This reception is a great chance to connect with fellow art lovers and celebrate this exhibit.
