DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. It is dangerous and often tragic. That's why thousands of folks from across the country clean out their medicine cabinets and turn in - safely and anonymously - a record amount of prescription drugs.
DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is October 24, and runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. People can drop off their unused, expired, or unwanted prescription drugs to a participating location, so that they can be disposed of properly. These locations will take tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid prescription forms. Items that are not accepted are needles, syringes, illegal drugs, and liquid products.
