North Coastal Sheriff's Station Rise Above Academy
If you enjoyed National Night Out, where public safety partners brought their emergency service vehicles and held special demonstrations, you might want to join the Rise Above Academy! The North Coastal Sheriff's Station is bringing back their Rise Above Academy, a free program designed to help local youth overcome challenges and encourage them to make positive life choices. In this program, participants will receive mentorship that connects youths to positive roles models, and education through workshops on conflict resolution, leadership, and career planning. Participants will also engage with the community and get involved with community service projects and events.
This program is part of the North Coastal Sheriff's Station's efforts to create a better relationship between the community and local law enforcement. In addition to the recent event National Night Out that was also held at La Colonia Park, Rise Above Academy is a chance for public safety officers to get to know the community, listen to their needs, and foster trust through community outreach.
Program details:
Duration: September 15 - November 3 (8 weeks)
Time: Tuesdays from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Location: La Colonia Park, located at 715 Valley Avenue, Solana Beach 92075
Age group: 9-12 years old
This program is free.
Parent attendance is required for all sessions.
Dinner is included with registration.
