Join us for an inspiring talk on the science of living longer and healthier as Dr. Aladdin H. Shadyab shares his insights from decades of research on healthy aging and longevity on Tuesday, April 14th at 6:00 PM. Learn practical, evidence based strategies to support your health, maintain independence, and enjoy life to the fullest at every age. The talk will take place at La Colonia Community Center, located at 715 Valley Avenue in Solana Beach, 92075.

Dr. Shadyab will highlight what allows some people to thrive well into their 90's with strong mobility and sharp minds. Topics will include weight management, diet, exercise, Alzheimer's disease prevention, and the biology of aging.

Dr. Shadyab is an Associate Professor of Public Health, Human Longevity Science, and Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, with a joint appointment in the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science and the Division of Geriatrics, Gerontology, Palliative Care, Department of Medicine. He has a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from UCSD, and a master's in bioinformatics and medical informatics from San Diego State. He has broad experience in the epidemiology of aging and has authored over 300 publications in peer reviewed journals.
