Bike Anywhere Day 2026 Recap
On Thursday, May 21st, residents were encouraged to bike to school, work, or anywhere in San Diego! Over 50 people stopped by the COASTER Train Station booth hosted by the City and the North County Transit District (NCTD) and grabbed water, snacks, and a free-T-shirt. SANDAG's annual Bike Anywhere Day aims to alleviate traffic and reduce air pollution while promoting biking as a fun, sustainable, and healthy transportation choice.
Our City continues to promote bike usage though community development workshops and implementation of bicycle lanes and infrastructure.
SANDAG is hosting group rides and classes through the end of May for Bike Month, and Solana Beach has two upcoming bike classes in June. Join the cycling class on Saturday, June 6th, or the e-bikes class on Tuesday, June 16th. The San Diego County Bike Coalition will be there to give pointers, teach you about the rules of the road, and tips for staying safe.
