San Dieguito Double Track & Special Events Platform Project

As part of preconstruction activities for the LOSSAN San Dieguito Double Track & Special Events Platform Project, SANDAG crew will conduct underground utility locating operations withing and near the North County Transit District (NCTD) railroad right-of-way in Solana Beach in April 2026.

Temporary Coastal Rail Trail and Highway 101 Lane Closures:

Monday, April 20-Friday April 24

• One northbound lane on Highway 101 may be temporarily closed between Via de la Valle and Lomas Santa Fe Drive.
• A section of the Coastal Rail Trail will be closed to ensure the safety of the public and construction crews.
• Work will occur at night to minimize impacts to the community.

Construction schedules may changes.

This planed work is in preparation for future rail improvement construction that is scheduled to start in early 2027. You can learn more about the project at SANDAG.org/sddt.
